Ohsnap has spent the last number of years building a reputation around one idea: offer a phone grip that doesn’t suck. The company, which started in 2019, has continued to innovate and improve its offerings each year. Today, the company's tagline is “Phone Accessories That Don’t Suck.” This appropriately coincides with their shift from a single-product company to a brand. They now offer chargers, mounts, cases, phone grips, and even a mobile gaming controller.
The Ohsnap Snap Grip is the company's flagship product. When closed, it is low-profile and appears to be comparable to a flat disc lying on the back of the phone. It is thinner than the phone's camera bump, so it just magically disappears. Because of this, sliding the phone into a pocket feels easy and natural; the grip does not snag on anything. When ready to use it, it pops out with a one-handed firm press. The movement is smooth and enjoyable to do, and once it is open, the grip feels solid without being bulky.
This fifth-generation grip represents the most polished version of the Snap Grip yet. The most notable change is that no adhesive is needed. This is achieved through improved magnetic strength and small design adjustments. In previous versions, the grip required users to stick an adhesive sticker to the phone case to secure it. Meaning that the grip would be locked to that case, and if you wanted to switch cases, you would have to remove the grip adhesive, then reapply new adhesive to the other case you wanted to use.
