The JLab Epic Mini Keyboard Is Built to Move

The JLab Epic Mini is compact, unlike those cramped portable keyboards. When you type on this one, it feels just like a full-size keyboard. There is no learning curve. It's just a clean layout that works the way you expect. It's just over a foot wide and slim enough to slide into a laptop sleeve, travel bag, or backpack pocket.

If you switch between devices, this keyboard keeps up. It supports multi-point Bluetooth with up to two devices. Pair once, then tap the Q, W, or E key to toggle between your phone, tablet, and computer (ChromeOS, MacOS, and Windows), with no cable swapping or re-pairing Bluetooth. It's just fast, reliable switching. If you want to use a device without Bluetooth, then the included wireless USB-C dongle will provide connectivity.

The backlight is a subtle addition but very effective! It offers adjustable brightness levels, so you can pick the best level for your environment, whether working late in the dark or a dimly lit room. The illumination is soft, ensuring you can see every key clearly without straining your eyes. Using the JLab Work App, you can customize the brightness and set a timer for the backlight to turn off after a period of inactivity, helping to conserve battery life.

Typing on this keyboard feels great. The low-profile keys are quiet but not mushy. There's just enough feedback to type accurately while not disturbing people nearby. Whether on a chat, in a café, or next to someone asleep, you won't sound like you're hammering away.

Battery life is great; once the keyboard is charged, it can last up to 2 years before needing to be charged again; of course, that is without regular use. With regular usage and the backlight off, it lasts up to six months. With the backlight on, you still get several weeks of regular use. It charges via USB-C in about two hours, and the power button on the top makes it easy to turn off when not in use.

The Epic Mini hits a sweet spot for people who work on the go or just want a smaller, cleaner setup at home. Lightweight. Versatile. It's comfortable to type on. Easy to pack. It's the kind of tool you forget about because it works the way it should.
